Have you always wanted to present at a conference, but been too nervous or intimidated to submit a proposal? Do you have an awesome presentation idea, but missed the deadline for session submissions? Want to get some conference presenting experience for your resume? Want to share a project you’re especially proud of?
If you answered any of these questions with a “yes,” you should consider submitting a proposal to participate in this year’s Poster Session! The Poster Session is less formal and intimidating than a regular session, but still includes great content about museum work. During the Poster Session presenters converse one-on-one with attendees and answer questions about their posters on display.
Posters should, as much as possible, reflect this year’s theme of “Embracing Change” and should champion best practices in museum work. The deadline for submissions is September 15, so don’t hesitate to get your Poster Session proposal in! Apply for the Poster Session online at www.utahmuseums.org/?page=2015PosterRFP.
Visit the UMA website for more information about the conference, to see the preliminary program, or to register.
