| 2023 Annual Conference |
|
Many museums have proven their mettle over the last few years while trudging through significant social, technological, environmental, economic, and political change. We are tasked with serving our communities credibly and authentically, plus building capacity and sustainability, all while navigating broad and often drastic upheavals in needs, resources, expectations, and practice. While we grow as organizations and individuals we must continually reconsider our work, allowing us to recenter our efforts and reconnect with our communities. We must make time as organizations and museum professionals to consider and center our missions, policies, and offerings so that we can explore ways to connect with our audiences, colleagues, funders, and community partners. This year the UMA conference will examine the following questions: How do you identify innovations or disruptions that shape our path into the future? How do you respond to the needs of your audience and build strategic relationships? How do you disseminate information as we face greater censorship? How do you demonstrate transparency and flexibility?
We hope you will join us at the 2023 Annual Conference hosted by the Utah Museums Association in partnership with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums.
