This webinar will explore the issues that reduce opportunities for underrepresented groups within the museum field, and will outline tools that organizations, including AAM, are currently using to reduce unintended bias in recruitment and hiring. We will hear from an AAM hiring manager about the process of crafting the job description, interview strategy, and onboarding; and from the new employee about the challenges and opportunities the application process presented. 

Following the webinar, we’ll digest what we’ve learned and share ideas for fostering diversity among our staff and volunteers during a facilitated discussion. Bring your lunch or purchase lunch at the Museum Café, spend time with colleagues, and discover something new.
