Many volunteer managers are not given the tools necessary to help them effectively manage their volunteers and volunteer projects.  This two-part workshop series was developed in partnership with UServe to respond to volunteer needs in the museum field. Attendees will be trained on effective volunteer management including recruiting, motivating, and retaining volunteers.

Upon completion of the program, volunteer coordinators have the necessary skills to:

• Assess volunteer needs and match those needs with the strategic goals of the museum
• Develop relevant, competency-based volunteer roles and opportunities that attract and retain high caliber volunteers to address critical needs in your museum
