5:30 pm - 7:00 pm | optional dinner
Note: Free parking in the west gravel parking lot. If you approach via Vine St. it will be a left turn onto N 2nd St and then into the chained enclosed parking lot. If you approach via Broadway, make a right onto Vine St and then a right onto N 2nd St.
Optional Suggestion: Prior to arriving to the museum, participants can visit the old smelter site, now a Superfund conservation park. The conservation park is located at the end of Smelter Road. At the gate, it is about a 15 minute walk on a gravel road.
The fenced in area is where you can see the slag heaps from the smelting process. All buildings were removed in the late-20th century. (From Main St. turn left onto E 400 N by Jana’s Java, then follow the road until it becomes Smelter Rd.)
