UMFA Community Meet-Up at Spiral Jetty

Join UMFA's biennial visit to the Spiral Jetty! Enjoy art-making activities, discussions, and music to engage with this unique art piece. See details about what to expect, driving directions, and schedule of events here. This event is run by UMFA and is free and open to the public. By registering for this Sites & Insight, your attendance will be more fun by going with other UMA members! Meet at the Brigham City Museum 24 N 300 W, Brigham City, UT 84302 at 12:00 noon to carpool. Attendees can continue networking at a pay-your-own-way dinner at Idle Isle Cafe 24 S Main St, Brigham City following the event at 5:30 pm.

Notes: Make sure to review the details prior to departing for the event so you can be prepared. The closest bathrooms are located at the Golden Spike National Historic Park. Bringing water, snacks, suncreen, bug spray, a hat, and good shoes are all recommended.

Please also be aware that artist Renee Green will be giving the Holt/Smithson Lecture, Imagining Contact: Then, When, Now, Here in conversation with Lida Le Feuvre, Executive Director of the Smith/Holt Foundation at UMFA the evening before on Friday, September 27 at 6:00 pm. The lecture is free but registration is required. Learn more and register hered
