Located just east of Wendover, Utah, Danger Cave State Monument which was designated in 2019, is the location of Danger Cave and nearby Juke Box Cave. Danger Cave, subject to extensive archaeological excavations in the late 1940s and early 1950s has an archaeological record going back 12,000 years. Danger Cave is not only part of the State Monument, but it is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark. Juke Box Cave contains Native American rock art and a concrete dancefloor used by the Army Air Corps stationed at Wendover Air Base in the late 1930s and 1940s. Join archaeologist Ron Rood on a short hike to and tour of Danger Cave. Then, we'll head over to Juke Box Cave, where there is a short but steep hike to the cave on an unimproved trail.
