Join Rena Pikyavit, a Navajo, Apache, and Paiute tribal member from the local Kanosh Band as she provides insights into the process of tribal consultation with museum, state, and archaeological professionals. She and her family have been in Clear Creek Canyon for many years and continue to assist in park operations and interpretation programs. Rena and her husband Rick have been involved with archaeological projects throughout the state and have served as cultural consultants for the Paiute Tribe. After we hear from Rena, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum, and we will end the event with delicious Navajo Tacos made by Rena and her family.
