Join Utah Museum of Fine Arts education curators for a hands-on workshop about teaching in a museum. Using the Smithsonian's H2O Today exhibition, this training will emphasize facilitative teaching, question-based strategies, and visual thinking strategies.

If you wish, attendees may go out to lunch at local restaurant, then return to Frontier Homestead State Park Museum for a free public program tied to H2O Today, (which runs from 1:00-4:00 pm) and is modeled on the UMFA's "Third Saturday" template to learn more about how to run a family drop-in activity. Participants will try their hand at painting, using water from natural sources, making their own watercolors, and seeing how salt makes special effects.

This event accompanies H2O Today, a Smithsonian exhibition brought to you by Utah Humanities and Frontier Homestead State Park. The tour is part of Think Water Utah, a statewide collaboration and conversation on the critical topic of water presented by Utah Humanities and its partners.

Registration required. Free to attend.
