Through the generosity of the Utah Division of Arts & Museums Office of Museum Services with funding from the State of Utah we are able to offer a number of scholarships to the 2015 UMA Conference.

Application deadline

Must be completed online by midnight September 15, 2015. Scholarship recipients will be notified by September 22, 2015.

Scholarship details

Each scholarship will cover the conference registration fee, lodging, and an annual UMA membership. Recipients will be responsible for their own travel and any additional events and meals not included in the conference registration. Scholarship recipients will be expected to attend the entire conference, including pre-conference field trips. Before applying, please make sure you will be able to attend the conference from Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00 am through Friday, October 9 at 1:30 pm.

After the Conference

Scholarship receipients will be expected to complete a post conference report including:

How what you have learned at the conference has helped strengthen your museum's programs and further your career goals.

Letter of intent *A letter (no more than 2 pages) describing your current responsibilities and explaining how you would use your experience at the UMA Conference to strengthen your museum's programs and further your career goals.
Resume *If you do not have a current resume a statement of background and connection to museums is acceptable.
Recommendation Letter *A letter of recommendation from your immediate supervisor stating both your qualification and their support for your conference attendance.
