We invite everyone who works or participates in the cultural industry to join us at the Utah State Capitol on February 4, 2025 to showcase how the cultural industry enriches our lives. Use the button below to register. Registration is required if you want to participate as an activity provider or deliver gifts to legislators. If you want to participate as an attendee, registration is encouraged but not required. There is no fee to participate but attendees do have the option to pre-purchase a boxed lunch until January 28.
We will have cultural industry buttons for all attendees to wear during the event.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
Rotunda Activity/Table Lead or Support [limited spots available / 40-50 organizations]
This group will provide an engaging interactive activity or background performance (loud performances are not permitted but we can accommodate background music and quiet performances) in the Rotunda to showcase the magic of the
cultural industry to legislators, school groups, industry attendees, and the general public visiting the Capitol. We encourage each organization to bring at least 2 people to staff each activity. Register for a Rotunda Activity by December 31, 2024.
If you have questions or would like to discuss ideas please contact Ruth White. There will be an informational call for anyone with questions on December 18 from 4:00-5:00 pm [register for info call here].
Rotunda Activity/Table Lead: Choose this option if you are the main contact for the organization and will provide details for the activity. There is only one lead per organization.
Rotunda Activity/Table Support: Choose this option if you are supporting an activity. There can be multiple supports per organization.

Captain [limited spots available / 16 people]
Captains will schedule meetings with 5-8 legislators and coordinate with Gift Deliverers to deliver gifts to each legislator. This is a great option for those who have attended Advocacy Day in the past or have time to contact legislative interns before the event and be at the Capitol for the whole day.
Time commitment: February 4, 2025 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PLUS time spent reviewing training materials and making appointments.
Gift Deliverer [limited spots available / 50-75 people]
Gift deliverers will be assigned to small groups to deliver gifts to legislators and build support for our policy agenda and appropriations requests. This is a great option for those who are new to Advocacy Day and want to be
very involved. No prior training is needed.
Time commitment: February 4, 2025 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PLUS time spent reviewing training material before the event.

Attendees can show up at any time between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to support the industry and network with colleagues. Prior registration is not required
but is appreciated so we know how many folks plan to attend.

Attend legislative floor time and committee meetings (in-person or virtually) during the session. All the information can be found at le.utah.gov. This website is also where you can access bills, state code, budget, legislator contact information, and more.
Get to know your elected officials. Sign up for their newsletter, follow them on social media, set up meetings with them - they want to know what their constituents think.
Participate in 45 Days of Advocacy, a collection of simple tasks to become involved during the legislative session and throughout the year.
