Join Stacey Kelly, director of collections at Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA), and Kara Hastings, greenhouse manager at Red Butte Garden and Arboretum (RBG&A), to explore strategies for everything from acquisition and documentation to environmental control, conservation, and preparation for display.

Stacey M. Kelly is a conservator with experience in various cultural institutions, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and sites in Scotland and England. She holds an MA with Distinction in Conservation of Fine Art from Northumbria University, specializing in works of art on paper.

 

Kara Hastings is a horticulturist who specializes in greenhouse production, with broad experience in annual production, interior tropical plants, ornamental plants, and native perennials. She holds a BS in Environmental Science and enjoys production- and conservation-focused horticulture.
