UMA 2010 Awards Nomination


Submit your nomination today for the following Awards.  Awards will be announced at the UMA Annual Conference Dinner.

BESSIE PARK JONES VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award is given to a volunteer or volunteers who have actively supported the mission or program of a UMA member museum.

Award Criteria:
1. Sponsor must be a UMA member
2. Nomination must include scope of work, time served, and institutional impact of volunteer
3. Recipient must attend awards dinner

PHIL NOTARIANNI AWARD

This award is given to an individual or group who has shown exceptional dedication, provided lengthy service, or an intense and tangible commitment to Utah's museum community.

Award Criteria:
1. Sponsor must be a UMA member
2. Recipient may not be a current UMA Board member and must have been off the UMA Board for a minimum of one year.
3. Reasons for nomination could include services provided (i.e. donated money)
4. Activities for nomination may not only apply to UMA member museums, but the Utah museum community itself.
5. Recipient(s) must attend awards dinner

GOVERNMENT SERVICE AWARD

This award is given to an individual who has served or is serving in a governmental capacity that in the scope of their duties has rendered vital assistance or support to Utah's museum community.

Award Criteria:
1. Sponsor must be a UMA member
2. Nominees are not limited to State Legislators or Employees, but could include local officials or agency employees.
3. This award does not need to reflect state-wide service, but could apply to a specific museum.
4. Recipient must attend awards dinner
5. This award may not be given every year
